SCAN – Special meeting with MLAs
The Saanich Community Association Network (SCAN) arranged a meeting with three local MLAs for November 3rd, 2021. Community associations were invited to submit questions for the MLAs and Mayor Haynes chaired the meeting and posed the questions. Holly Holt and Mac Nanton attended the meeting on behalf of the FCA. At its meeting on January 18th, 2021, Saanich Council reviewed reports on the strategic plan and the role of transit on climate change.
Mayor Haynes annual address for 2020
Mayor Haynes has delivered his annual address for 2020. He summarizes many of the accomplishments for 2020, despite the challenges of the pandemic. The FCA initiative to establish a noise wall to shield the community from the Pat Bay highway is listed as an aspirational goal.
